Tarr Farm Inn

Set in 40 acres of its own land, the sixteenth century Tarr Farm Inn in Exmoor it is no wonder the pub has recently been awarded the AA five star Highly Commended Inn award.

The pub admits it is committed to offering the best dining experience on Exmoor by using the abundance of produce in the surrounding area including Exmoor lamb, Devon Red Ruby beef, fresh Cornish seafood along with local venison and game, Tarr Farm takes classic dishes and give them a contemporary twist to create exciting menus.

Catering for all needs, Tarr Farm has reasonably-priced dry-aged rump steak with tarragon potato croquettes, rocket, parmesan & cherry tomatoes with an aged balsamic dressing for just £17.

The menu also offers seasonal of the day fish, put at the market price.

Lunchtimes are informal at the pub meaning everyone, including families with children and dogs are welcomed in the restaurant with open arms to enjoy a light meal or a hearty lunch and the same can be said for those who fancy a simple coffee or cream tea throughout the day.

When the evening hits, the menu takes a more formal style while keeping the relaxed atmosphere with an extensive wine list.

Larger parties can eat in the Oak Room – a private dining area with its own bar and an oval table seating up to 19 guests along with sofas to relax on after dinner.
