Stephen Terry

The Hardwick is only as good as the produce it uses

Biography

Working with Marco Pierre White in the early days of his career, chef Stephen Terry was in good stead for his cooking life.

Stephen was awarded his first Michelin star aged just 25 at the Canteen in Chelsea Harbour, London and after taking a well-earned sabbatical to France, he returned to London at Oliver Peyton’s restaurant, Coast in Mayfair.

While commuting from his home in south Wales to the Pear Tree Inn, Whitley, Wiltshire that the Horse & Jockey pub came on the market which was in need of some new love and from here, the Hardwick was born within four weeks of purchase.

Stephen joined forces with four top chefs from the Top 50 Gastropubs 2015 to create an eight course fine dining menu at Eat Drink Bristol Fashion Festival in 2015.
