Open Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner services, the Blackbird in Bagnor offers a modern twist on classic dishes, which are served in quaint surroundings.
The sample a la carte menu has tartare of aaged beef with smoked chili, hazelnuts and lime to start, as well as raviolo of frog’s legs with smoked eel served with a parsley sauce and apple, or twice-baked souffle of aged Gruyere with beetroot, candied walnuts and russet apple.
Main courses include braised onglet of beef en crepinette with parsley snails and Raclette cheese.
The menu du jour – two courses for £24 or three courses for £29 – is served at lunch times only.
