The Hovingham Inn

Formerly known as the Malt Shovel, this Yorkshire gastropub was reopened in 2019 after being transformed by hospitality duo Richard and Lindsey Johns.

The pair’s approach to the menu has been to focus on modern British classics.

Previous dishes to star on this inn’s menu include a truffle cauliflower soup with Parmesan brioche croutons, as well as a slow roast shoulder of new season lamb, white bean, lemon, garlic and parsley purée, rosemary fondant potato, served with lamb gravy.

Previous desserts have included dishes such as a chocolate orange pannacotta, white chocolate crunch.
