The chef and owner of the Queen of Cups' professional training started at Leith's, she trained as a butcher at Parson's Nose, West London, before beginning a kitchen job at The Palomar.
A classically French-trained chef who has also worked at Michelin-starred Sosbar, The Good Egg and Babala, Kalaji specialises in modern Middle Eastern cuisine, showcasing the best local and sustainable produce.
In 2021, she opened the Glastonbury pub where her Middle Eastern-inspired menu has won her awards.
Furthermore, the chef-patron is also passionate about mental health in hospitality, working towards a kinder and better future for all in the industry.
