The George is a beautiful 18th Century, Grade II listed pub in London’s Fitzrovia, which is featured in the Michelin Guide.
It is part of JKS Restaurants, which was founded by siblings Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi, in November 2008. The group boasts a raft of Michelin starred restaurants and two pubs.
The food at The George is that of a classic London public house with a twist. There is the black pudding scotch egg and red curry pork scratchings for starters. you can’t beat the traditional beer battered fish & chips, ploughman’s and beer and Guinness pie. Desserts are equally traditional with sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream and hot chocolate fudge sundae banana split making the menu.
It also serves Guinness, Irish whiskey, Irish coffees, craft ales and beers, seasonal cocktails and an extensive wine list.
The pub was known as being a central hub for the political, cultural and social movements of the late 18th century and home to writers and poets in the 20th century.
