The Horse Guards Inn is a 350-year-old pub in the South Downs National Park, settled in the sleepy village of Tillington, near Petworth, West Sussex.

The Horse Guards Inn got its name in the 1840's, when part the household cavalry would frequent the venue, while their horses rested on grass in the grounds of the Petworth Estate.

The relaxed, friendly and informal pub is designed with wooden tables and chairs, oak beams and stripped floorboards.

The menu is seasonal with all food cooked to order and it changes everyday to fit in what can be sourced from local suppliers, from its vegetable patch or foraged from the wild hedgerows or seashores nearby.

There are three en-suite country bedrooms on site that offer lovely views of the village and the South Downs.

This is top quality pub food that is no stranger to winning awards.  In fact it was crowned Pub of the Year 2017 by The Good Pub Guide.
