The 90-cover Grade-II listed pub opened in June 2024 with its name inspired by the chef's Scottish roots and location of the pub, which is nestled in the middle of a Cornish forest and is a den to escape in the countryside.
Its menu aims to give a new walk of life to the classic pub dishes – refined with more luxury ingredients and a tough of Scottish influence.
While dishes are regularly changing, ingredients from local producers in and around Cornwall are featured and meals have included hot-smoked sausage with champ mash and caramelised onions as well as venison haunch with celeriac and pear.
The group's iconic cheese doughnuts also feature on the menu alongside a crab cocktail with a yellow curry sauce, hot-smoked lamb rump, haggis scotch egg, corn ribs and a variety of steak options.
As with all the venues in the group, the Tartan Fox aims to offer sustainable British food with a luxury approach.
