The pub has a simple motto which, in short, is to provide guests with warm and happy memories, driven by food that puts a smile on your face alongside drinks that put a spring in your step.

In the kitchen, head chef Joe Rozier is responsible for the brigade of chefs who consistently produce dishes to a high standard throughout service.

The pub has a selection of six menus to consider, from the Lunch & Dinner service, Little Sailors, Gluten Free, Sunday Lunch, Vegan, and Vegetarian, meaning a lot of needs have been catered for.

On the main Lunch & Dinner menu, expect to see dishes from the grill including Philip Warren & Son 40-day aged 800g rib of beef (for two); the Mariners burger made from aged beef; as well as handcrafted pies made from locally-sourced ingredients.

For those looking for something a little more seasidey, then the Dogs Pollock crisp pollock hotdog may hit the spot, served with pickled cucumber, triple mustard, dill and parmesan and salty skinny fries.

Of the gastronomic empire Paul and Emma Ainsworth have built, Paul says: “Starting this next exciting chapter here in Padstow, we couldn’t be more grateful for the support from our loyal customers and friends.

“Every day we learn new things that we bring to the business, allowing us to keep improving what we do.

“While I strive for excellence in the kitchen, Emma’s expert eye for the fine details has helped us provide those added little touches that our customers so often notice.

“Whether it’s being hands on, or working from afar, her wise words always help keep us grounded.

“Our team are the family behind us who have supported and believed in our vision right from the beginning.”
