The Fox at Oddington

Oddington, Gloucestershire

The Fox is a village pub at the heart of the community with crackling log fires and a welcoming bar specialising in local beers and cocktails.

The Fox is a village pub at the heart of the community with crackling log fires and a welcoming bar specialising in local beers and cocktails.

And it has a history. The Fox was built in the 17th Century from local stone likely to have been quarried from the fields around Oddington. It has been recorded as a pub since 1856. By 1862 The Fox had five rooms, a parlour, shop, carriage house and skittle alley.

After a complete refurbishment in July 2022 The Fox opened to much fanfare as it joined the Daylesford Stays Collection.

The menu celebrates exceptional ingredients from its sister farms at Daylesford Organic and the Wootton estate alongside seasonal produce from British growers and producers.

Customers can enjoy small plates with a craft beer by the fire in the bar or be tempted by the menu in its relaxed Saddle Room.

Bedroom interiors are inspired by the surrounding countryside with a spacious Coachman’s House for larger groups.

Other pubs within the collection include The Wild Rabbit in Kingham, The Bell at Charlbury and the newly opened Three Horseshoes in Burford.
