A quintessential 17th Century Cotswold pub with rooms, The Halfway at Kineton is run by two chefs, Nathan Eades and Liam Goff.

Between them they have worked in Michelin-starred kitchens and held 3 AA rosettes.

The pub is steeped in history having previously been owned by Corpus Christi College of Oxford before it was purchased by Donnington Brewery in 1975.

Eades and Goff took over the tenancy in January 2023. Their mantra for the pub is simple “making sure our guests are looking forward to the next visit before finishing their last bite.”

Both chefs have described the food as ‘real food’ offering something for everyone who visits. The menu focuses on food that is ultra-seasonal and changes daily. The ethos is that they tap into the local supply chain as well as taking advantage of the plethora of game on their doorstep.

Starters include dishes such as creamed wild mushrooms, brioche, hazelnut pesto and Roasted beetroot, whipped goat’s cheese, candied pecans, endive salad while beef ribeye and Cotswolds “Deer & Game” venison cottage pie feature on the mains.
