Named after The Battle of The Alma in the Crimeon War in 1854, the Alma in Wandsworth is famous for its bright green tiled exterior, exceptional rugby atmosphere and the delicious food it serves.

The Youngs-owned pub has six core values at its heart: atmosphere, presence, pleasure, comfort, togetherness, truce, gratitude and shelter.

Stand-out dishes include Dingley dell pork belly, butternut squash puree, tender stem broccoli with sage and roasted apples; whole-roasted lemon sole, new potatoes samphire, clams and caper butter.

A twist on a classic includes the traditional burger but with an ‘Alma’ take on it such as American burger with peanut butter, Montery Jack, bacon, caramelised onions and French fries.

The pub has 23 luxury boutique bedrooms with each boasting “the most comfortable mattresses in the world”, Nespresso machines and wall-mounted LED TVs with Sky, the rooms really are a home from home.
